Arrival & Departure

  • What Address Do I Enter Into Gps to Get to Wild Dunes? 

    While driving down Palm Boulevard you will pass the first entrance to Wild Dunes, and continue to the second Wild Dunes Main Gate at the end of the road, which is near Sweetgrass Inn.

    Please use 5757 Palm Boulevard, Isle of Palms, SC 29451 in your GPS, which will take you to the main resort gate to check-in. Your arrival email will include the GPS address of where you are staying, as well as driving directions from the main gate as well.

    If you made your reservation before April 1st through Hyatt, please call us prior to arrival at (854) 274-1500. This will allow us to get the cell phone number where you'd like us to send your door code upon check-in.

  • How Do I Get My Gate Pass?

    When you arrive at the Welcome Gate of the resort, our Guest Experience team there will orientate you with the resort and provide you with a pass.

  • If I have additional vehicles arriving with me carrying passengers with different last names, what should I do?

    If you are traveling with two or more vehicles, the additional vehicles may obtain entry passes at the Wild Dunes Welcome Center by providing the guard the last name associated with your reservation. The attendant will provide additional guest passes for the remainder of your stay. Likewise, if you are expecting drive-in visitors during your stay, you’ll need to grant them access through the Welcome Center. Please contact a member of our Guest Experience team at 854.274.1500 at least one hour prior to your visitor’s arrival.

  • What time is Check-In?

    After 4 p.m. vacation rental guests may check-in with the Guest Experience team at the Main Wild Dunes Welcome Gate. While driving down Palm Boulevard, you will pass the first entrance to Wild Dunes, and continue to the second Wild Dunes Main Entrance at the end of the road. This is located right before the Sweetgrass Inn and your welcome packet will be available at the gate!

  • What time is Check-Out? 

    10 a.m. A late departure fee may be assessed for departures after aforementioned time.

  • How can I enter my Home or Condo accommodation? 

    When you arrive at the Welcome Gate at 5757 Palm Blvd, Isle of Palms, SC29451 USA our Guest Experience team will complete the check-in experience with you at that point. Our keyless entry system allows you to gain entry into your rental accommodation by entering your unique access code provided by the Guest Experience team. They will provide a welcome packet with check-in information including an electronic keypad door lock, eliminating the need for a physical key. Once through the main entrance gate, you may proceed directly to your home or condominium rental at the address listed in your welcome packet provided by the Guest Experience team and enter your unit after 4 p.m.

General

  • Air Conditioning

    To ensure that your vacation rental air conditioner performs at an optimal level:

    1. Make sure exterior doors and windows stay shut. Leaving sliding doors or windows open will cause the residence to not cool properly. In addition, this can cause condensation inside your vacation rental.
    2. Close blinds and curtains.
    3. Do not set the thermostat below 70 degrees. This can cause the A/C unit to freeze.
    4. As temperatures rise above 90 degrees, the maximum temperature reduction inside may be 20 degrees lower than the outside.
  • Refrigerators

    When stocking your refrigerator it can take up to 8 hours to completely cool down to a standard refrigerator temperature (usually 38 to 40 degrees). It is best to initially stock the refrigerator with items that are required to be chilled, gradually adding other items later. If you are concerned that specific items may spoil during this wait period, please contact our Guest Experience team at 854.274.1500.

  • On-Resort Transportation

    Complimentary shuttles will be provided by Wild Dunes Resort for Wild Dunes Vacation Rentals Guests inside the gates from 7am-11pm on a first come, first served bases. Please call 866.991.8013 to request a shuttle.

  • Recycling

    Guests are encouraged to recycle paper and plastics while at Wild Dunes. Blue recycling bins are located at each home or complex. Additional trash bags are located under kitchen sinks and can be discarded in the large, blue outdoor containers found near your trash can. The City of Isle of Palms picks up recycling every other Wednesday morning. Our staff will pull your recycling to the curb the night before pick-up and replace it the next morning.

  • Garbage

    Trash cans are located in varying areas, depending upon your home or condo location, for your convenience.

    • All homes have a green trash can located at the front of the home adjacent to the street, in the home’s garage or beside the home when there is no access to the garage. The City of Isle of Palms picks up trash on Tuesday mornings year round. In summer (June through August) the City also picks up on Friday mornings. Our staff will pull your trash can to the curb the night before pick-up and replace it the next morning.
    • High-rise condos have trash closets on each floor on either end or toward the center of the corridor.
    • Townhouse-style condos have trash cans centrally located in the parking area of the complex.
    • You will find additional replacement trash bags at the bottom of the can. If you have questions, please contact our Guest Experience team at 854.274.1500.
  • Housekeeping Service

    Stays under seven nights receive a departure clean only. Stays of seven nights or more receive one complimentary midweek service which includes removing trash, replacing toiletries and guest amenities as needed. Saturday check-ins will receive service on Tuesdays and Sunday check-ins on Wednesdayss. Daily service or trash and towel service are available upon request for an additional fee. Washers and dryers are included in every home and condo along with two powder detergents.

  • What Supplies Are Included in The Wild Dunes Vacation Rentals?

    A starter kit of dish-soap, sponge, dishwashing detergent, one roll of paper towels, laundry detergent, toilet paper, trash bags (in the bottom of each can). Major appliances including (but not limited to): washer & dryer, refrigerator (some with ice makers), dishwasher, stove, oven, and microwave. Minor appliances including (but not limited to): toaster, blender, full-sized coffee maker, etc. Plates, bowls, silverware, pots and pans, cups, mugs, and wine glasses (appropriate number for number of guests the home or condominium sleeps), cooking utensils and serving ware. Sheets and pillowcases. A starter supply of bath towels, hand towels and washcloths.

    Additional items include:

    • Hair dryers
    • Broom and vacuum
    • Iron and ironing board
    • Extra blankets and pillows
    • Shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash & soap

    Additional supplies may be purchased at Hudson’s Market, located on Sweetgrass Plaza.

    Additional items you may wish to bring with you during your stay:

    • Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, toilet paper, etc.)
    • Paper towels and/or napkins
    • Extra laundry detergent and/or fabric softener
    • Ziploc bags, foil, and/or saran wrap
    • Specialty cookware
    • Coffee and coffee filters
    • Cleaning supplies (if preferred)
    • Summer guests may wish to bring beach chairs and beach towels, toys, etc.
  • Is Outdoor Grilling Allowed?

    Outdoor grilling in rental units is strictly prohibited by local fire codes.

  • What Is the Smoking Policy?

    Smoking is not permitted in any rental units. Fees starting at $350 will be assessed if smoking occurs in the accommodation.

  • What Is the Pet Policy?

    While we love furry friends, pets are not allowed at Wild Dunes Vacation Rentals, or anywhere on the resort grounds. A $400 minimum fee will be assessed, per pet, if in breach of resort policy. Other fees and fines may apply. Service animals are welcome at Wild Dunes Resort and are not subject to the foregoing Pet Policy.

  • Do You Offer Rollaway Beds?

    Wild Dunes does not provide rollaway beds to vacation rentals.

  • Do You Offer Babysitting Services?

    Though Wild Dunes does not have babysitting services on site, we can recommend local companies for such services. Please contact the pre-arrival concierge at 877.230.9224 for information regarding agencies.

  • Are There Any Motorized Vehicles Not Permitted on The Resort?

    Motor Homes, boat trailers, personal watercrafts, motorcycles and other two-wheeled motorized vehicles are prohibited within the gates of Wild Dunes. Wild Dunes Resort makes no provision for parking/storage of such vehicles.

  • Does the City of Isle of Palms Have Ordinances?

    Isle of Palms noise ordinance requires that “quiet time” is in effect Sunday through Thursday from 10pm-10am and Friday and Saturday from 11pm-10am and includes noise restrictions on stereos, televisions and any other noise. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the beach and public streets. Beach fires and fireworks are prohibited due to fire hazards. Beach chairs, umbrellas and tents left unattended on the beach after sunset may be disposed of by the City. For safety, guests are asked to refill any beach holes they may dig.

  • Do you offer Travel Insurance?

    We've partnered with Red Sky Travel Insurance to provide our guests with optional vacation rental travel insurance, available at the time of booking. This coverage is offered at 7.75% of the total trip cost and is non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • What Is Included in The Resort Fee?

    There is a resort fee of 16% added to each accommodation rate (subject to change). Guests can enjoy a variety of services included in the Resort Fee, such as:

    • Complimentary access to indoor and outdoor games & gaming consoles
    • Complimentary putting green and pitching green access
    • Complimentary seasonal Island Adventures recreation activities
    • On-property resort transportation services
    • Unlimited use of fitness center
    • Unlimited internet access in all accommodations
    • One hour of complimentary tennis court time daily after 12:00 pm

  • Will Guests in the Wild Dunes Vacation Rentals Receive World of Hyatt Benefits or Points?

    Any guests arriving on or after April 1st in the Wild Dunes Vacation Rentals, regardless of when the booking occurred, will not receive World of Hyatt points. Wild Dunes Vacation Rentals are no longer affiliated with Hyatt as of April 1st and therefore are not eligible for points.

    Sweetgrass Inn, Boardwalk Inn, and Residences at Sweetgrass remain Hyatt-affiliated accommodations and are the only accommodations at Wild Dunes Resort in which World of Hyatt members will be able to receive both points and in-hotel member benefits.

    Additionally, Wild Dunes Vacation Rentals are now part of the Beyond by CoralTree program. As a member of the CoralTree Hospitality family, guests booking these rentals can save up to 10% and earn 4% cash back on each reservation when booking directly. Resort Amenities

  • Pool Access

    Wild Dunes Vacation Rentals guests may access the pools at the Grand Pavilion, Sweetgrass Inn, Boardwalk Inn and the Swim Center. Pool hours vary seasonally. Please call 854.274.1500 for the latest hours of operation. After 11pm, access to all pool areas will not be permitted. Vacation Rental guests may also enjoy access to the designated complex or private pool associated with their specific vacation rental unit (when available).

  • What Is the General Availability of Children’s Program and What Are the Age Ranges?

    Availability of Wild Dunes Resort Island Adventures recreational programs–such as arts & programs, beach games, and kid’s camps- vary by season. Generally, we accommodate children ages 5-12, and do offer additional teen activities. For more information, please contact the pre-arrival concierge at 877.230.9224.

  • What Activities Are Available to Me During My Stay?

    We offer a variety of activities- from family programs, golf and tennis, to fitness classes, spa services, eco-tours and more. We can even help you plan activities downtown! Please browse all activities in the Activities section of our website, or contact us at 854.274.1500, option 3.

  • Do I have to pay for valet when I use the pool or amenities?

    Valet will be charged if you decide to drive yourself and do not use a shuttle. However, if you are dining at an outlet, visiting the spa or shopping, the valet is complimentary and you will need to get a validation stamp from the outlet. If you are visiting the pools or beaches, please keep your ticket, and you can pay the $10 daily fee per car via the QR code on the ticket or stop by the front desk to pay/validate your parking.

  • How can I reserve beach chairs?

    You are able to make beach chair reservations in advance through pre-arrival at 843.886.2218 (highly encouraged) or online at our website, under the Activities tab. Guests can reserve beach chairs and umbrellas by calling the day before by 5pm EST, but also can walk up the day off as well. An associate will be at the bottom of the stairs on the beach at Grand Pavilion each day from 10am-2pm to take walk-ups and assist people getting to their chairs

    Wild Dunes Vacation Rentals Guests will need to pay for the chairs via Credit Card as room charge will not be available. Cancellations or changes to reservations must be made by 7pm 48 hours in advance of your daily booking. FAQs for Beach Chairs are found on our website as well.

  • Can I Charge to my Unit While Using the Resort Amenities?

    No, there are no charging back to the room capabilities. Guests may pay “as they go” with credit cards, cash, etc. in Wild Dunes Resort-managed outlets.

  • How do I Get Pool Towels or Key Cards for the Pool?

    There will be two pool/towel access key cards provided in the welcome packet that you receive at the gate.
