As part of the island’s beautiful seven-mile stretch of coastline, Wild Dunes offers two and half miles of uninterrupted Atlantic beachfront and a mile of serene inlet shoreline, providing rare access to one of South Carolina’s most peaceful and picturesque coastal settings.

Located directly in front of the Grand Pavilion, Wild Dunes Beach Rentals offers convenient chair and umbrella rentals by the set (two chairs and one umbrella) or individually. Rental areas are clearly marked in red, yellow, and orange zones to help you find your spot.

Only Wild Dunes Resort guests, members, or guests staying with Wild Dunes Vacation Rentals may rent beach chairs and umbrellas in front of the Grand Pavilion.

Did you know? Sea grass that washes ashore from nearby marshes helps lock sand in place, creating a natural barrier that protects our beaches from erosion. It’s protected by law, so please leave it where nature placed it.
To help preserve the beauty and longevity of the Isle of Palms shoreline, a city-led beach renourishment project will take place from mid-June through August 2026.
This important effort supports coastal preservation and protects native wildlife, including sea turtles that nest along our shores.
Work is expected to take place in phases along the shoreline; timing and locations will be confirmed once the City finalized the project schedule. Current plans indicate minimal to no impact near Grand Pavilion, though this is subject to final scheduling. Details will continue to be updated as they become available. Guests will continue to have beach access, and our team will be available to guide you to the best locations for relaxation and recreation each day.
