What time is Check-In?
After 4 p.m. Boardwalk Inn guests may check-in at the Boardwalk Inn front desk; Sweetgrass Inn and Residences at Sweetgrass Inn guests check in at Sweetgrass Inn's front desk. Homes and condos guests may check-in with the Guest Experience team at the Welcome Gate on your arrival to the resort.

How old do you have to be to Check-In?
18 years of age to check-in to accommodations at Sweetgrass Inn, Boardwalk Inn, and the Residences at Sweetgrass. Guests must be 21 years of age to check-in to our vacation homes and condos.

What time is Check-Out?
11 a.m. for accommodations at Sweetgrass Inn, Boardwalk Inn, and the Residences at Sweetgrass. 10 a.m. for our vacation homes and condos. A late departure fee may be assessed for departures after aforementioned times.

What address do I enter into GPS to get to Wild Dunes?
Enter 5757 Palm Blvd., SC 29451. This will take you to the main resort gate. Your arrival email will include the GPS address to your accommodation and driving directions from the main gate as well.

How do I get my gate pass?
When you arrive at the Welcome Gate of the resort, our Guest Experience team there will orientate you with the resort and check your gate pass or can provide you with a pass.

What parking options are available?
Valet parking is available on property for $35/day. No self-parking

If I have additional vehicles arriving with me who have last names different from mine, what do I do?
If you are traveling with two or more vehicles, the additional vehicles may obtain entry passes at the Wild Dunes Welcome Center by providing the guard with the last name associated with your reservation. The attendant will provide additional green guest passes for the remainder of your stay. Likewise, if you are expecting drive-in visitors during your stay, you’ll need to grant them access through the Welcome Center. Please contact a member of our Guest Experience team at 843.886.6000 or extension 0 at least one hour prior to your visitor’s arrival.

What time can I arrive for late arrival?
Late check-in is always available. However, if arriving after 8 p.m., please contact us at 843.886.6000 so that we may better plan for your arrival.

What do I need for credit card authorization?
Conveniently charge Resort purchases to your room! If you would like to enable room charges to avoid carrying credit cards and cash around property, please visit the Front Desk at the Boardwalk Inn or Sweetgrass Inn.

Wild Dunes offers a variety of amenities and activities! How many pools do you have on property?
The resort offers an array of pools for all resort guests - three at Sweetgrass Inn (plus a hot tub and splash pad), two at the Grand Pavilion, one at the Swim Center, and one adult-only pool at the Boardwalk Inn. Visit our Resort Pools page for more details.
Those renting Wild Dunes Vacation Rental homes and condos may also enjoy access to the designated complex or private pool associated with their specific vacation rental unit (when available).

Do you offer shuttle service?
Complimentary shuttle service is offered within the Resort gated community and can be requested between 7am to 11pm.

What is included in my rate?
All rates are subject to availability and may change without notice. Rates do not include taxes/fees: Sales and Accommodations taxes 14%, Resort Fee 16% (subject to change).

What’s included in the Resort Fee?
There is a resort fee of 16% added to each accommodation rate (subject to change). Wild Dunes Resort is pleased to offer guests a number of services inclusive in the Resort Fee:

What is the cancellation policy?

Are pets allowed?
While we love furry friends, pets are not allowed at The Sweetgrass Inn, Boardwalk Inn, Residences at Sweetgrass, Wild Dunes Vacation Rentals, or anywhere on the resort grounds. A $400 minimum fee will be assessed, per pet, if in breach of resort policy. Other fees and fines may apply. Service animals are welcome at Wild Dunes Resort and are not subject to the foregoing Pet Policy.

Is outdoor grilling allowed?
Outdoor grilling in rental units is strictly prohibited by local fire codes.

What is the smoking policy?
Smoking, vaping or use of illegal substances are not permitted in any rental units. Fees starting at $400 will be assessed if smoking occurs in the accommodation.

Are there any motorized vehicles not permitted on the Resort?
Motor Homes, boat trailers, personal watercraft, motorcycles and other two wheeled motorized vehicles are prohibited within the gates of Wild Dunes. Wild Dunes Resort makes no provision for parking/storage of such vehicles.

Does the City of Isle of Palms have noise ordinances?
Isle of Palms noise ordinance requires that “quiet time” is in effect Sunday through Thursday from 10 pm-10 am and Friday and Saturday from 11 pm-10 am and includes noise restrictions on stereos, televisions and any other noise. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the beach and public streets. Beach fires and fireworks are prohibited due to fire hazards. Beach chairs, umbrellas and tents left unattended on the beach after sunset may be disposed of by the City. For safety, guests are asked to refill any beach holes they may dig.

Do you offer roll away beds?
Wild Dunes offers roll away beds (on a limited basis) for an additional fee for guests staying in the Boardwalk Inn and Sweetgrass Inn. To reserve a roll away in these accommodations, please contact us at 800.845.8880. If you are staying in Residences at Sweetgrass or a home or condo, please contact our pre-arrival concierge at 843.886.2218 for more information regarding such rentals.

What Wi-Fi connectivity exists on the Resort?
Wild Dunes offers complimentary Wi-Fi in all Boardwalk Inn guest rooms, Sweetgrass Inn guest rooms, and Residences at Sweetgrass rooms and suites. Additionally, the Grand Pavilion, Sweetgrass Pool, Boardwalk Inn and Sweetgrass Inn lobby areas, and Shoppes at Sweetgrass are all Wi-Fi hotspots. Because of the Resort’s remote location, some areas of the resort (including homes and condominiums) may have stronger signals than others.

How can I enter my Home or Condo accommodation?
When you arrive at the Welcome Gate at 5757 Palm Blvd, Isle of Palms, SC29451 USA our Guest Experience team will complete the check-in experience with you at that point. Our keyless entry system allows you to gain entry into your rental accommodation by entering your unique access code provided by the Guest Experience team. They will provide a welcome packet with check-in information including an electronic keypad door lock, eliminating the need for a physical key. Once through the main entrance gate, you may proceed directly to your home or condominium rental at the address listed in your welcome packet provided by the Guest Experience team and enter your unit after 4 p.m.

What supplies are included in the Residences at Sweetgrass and Wild Dunes Homes and Condominiums?
A starter kit of dish-soap, sponge, dishwashing detergent, one roll of paper towels, laundry detergent, toilet paper, trash bags (in the bottom of each can). Major appliances including (but not limited to): washer & dryer, refrigerator (some with ice makers), dishwasher, stove, oven, and microwave. Minor appliances including (but not limited to): toaster, blender, full-sized coffee maker, etc. Plates, bowls, silverware, pots and pans, cups, mugs, and wine glasses (appropriate number for number of guests the home or condominium sleeps), cooking utensils and serving ware. Sheets and pillowcases. A starter supply of bath towels, hand towels and washcloths.
Additional items include:
- Hair dryers
- Broom and vacuum
- Iron and ironing board
- Extra blankets and pillows
- Shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash & soap
Additional supplies may be purchased at Hudson’s Market, located on Sweetgrass Plaza.
Additional items you may wish to bring with you during your stay:
- Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, toilet paper, etc.)
- Paper towels and/or napkins
- Extra laundry detergent and/or fabric softener
- Ziploc bags, foil, and/or saran wrap
- Specialty cookware
- Coffee and coffee filters
- Cleaning supplies (if preferred)
- Summer guests may wish to bring beach chairs and beach towels, toys, etc.

Do you offer Travel Insurance?
We've partnered with Red Sky Travel Insurance to provide our guests with optional vacation rental travel insurance, available at the time of booking. This coverage is offered at 7.75% of the total trip cost and is non-refundable and non-transferable.
